Douglas Dog by Jill Maas

Douglas stands 14" tall and is made from scrap wool or any other suitable fabric you have around.

You will need about half a meter, an old woollen skirt, coat or

jacket is ideal.
Old knitted jumper to dress Douglas in, or you may like to knit your own,

Black felt or velvet for nose, white and black or dark brown for eyes, black

embroidery thread to stitch mouth. Those of you that want a pink tongue, go

for it!
You may like a small piece of fur fabric for his hair.

Douglas was born in Horopito in New Zealand near Raetihi, he has an amazing breeding heritage coming from Alf the gentle farm dog and Penny a small snappy poodle bitch who's owners were stopped at a picnic table by the rail bridge for a short period.

Alf's owner paid a high price for him!

Douglas favourite pastime is collecting stones which he puts into the dam, enabling the fish to swim nearer to the surface, this can be rewarding. He also plays hide and seek with his stray mates amongst the old car wrecks down the road.

He has travelled on cruise ships, eaten at some of the best restaurants and sat at the feet of many famous people, (all of whom I can't name due to the signing of a privacy agreement)

Douglas has a pleasant disposition and a strong sense of duty to his master
