PARSLEY - made by Jan Horrox
PARSLEY - made by Jan Horrox
Parsley is another doll in my Earth series. Again she is a 14" cloth doll made from eco dyed cottons and embroidered all over her front and onto her face. The joints are quite an interesting technique which I devised for Rosemary - the doll I made for the WOW book. Using embroidery threads I stitched down to the joint and then wound the threads around the joint and continues stitching down to ankle or wrist. Mitt hands are wired and top stitched.
Parsley's hair is made from fine cut strips of boiled wool with a big silk Dupion bow on the top.
She has a skirt of dupion silk in silver grey which is machine embroidered.
This is a OOAK art doll made as a decorative object by Jan Horrox.
This is NOT a toy and not suitable for children under 8/10.
